Immerse yourself in Mythical Forest with us on October's Outdoor Saturday!
Ancient Finland was the land of forests and people lived in tight cooperation with the wild environment. Throughout time nature has been a matter of awe and our ancestors had a rather different relationship with its creatures – real and imaginary – compared to our modern apprehensions.
Get yourself acquainted with the court of “Tapiola”, the mythical gods, goddesses, spirits and creatures of Finnish folklore. Learn about the ancient worldview of the nation that is deeply entwined with nordic nature.
On Saturday, September 6th, there are two departures for the tours:
At 11:30 AM, the tour is guided in Finnish.
At 2:00 PM, the tour is guided in Finnish and, if necessary, in English.
The hike starts at the main entrance of Haltia and covers a distance of approximately 3,5 km in the terrain. The trail might follow uneven terrain and narrow forest paths. The hike ends back at the starting point at the main entrance of Nature Centre Haltia. Wear clothing according to the weather conditions and take a water bottle with you.
